Trainings

If you want to learn more about die-cutting technology, either because you are a beginner, or because you want to deepen or refresh your knowledge, we recommend a die-cutting training. The training lasts one day and you will learn the following:

  1. Setting up of a platen for various shapes and materials
  2. Making a blueprint of the tool. This is necessary for partial pressure adjustment.
  3. Setting up of a platen, using the kiss-cut technique. This is done by increasing the pressure only in the areas needing more pressure (partial pressure adjustment). This method results in less wearing of the knives. It is used whenever steel counterplates are used for the punching job. Excenter machines such as platens, autoplatens, Heidelber Cylinders usually use steel counterplates, whereas hydraulic presses usually use soft materials as counterplates). Also this technique allows you to kiss-cut and die-cut simultaneously and generally improves the quality of the cut. The motto is: The sharper the knive, the better the cut.
  4. Die cutting using a hand-platen or heidelberg platen/ cylinder
